INTRODUCTION

The Journey Here

This is my WordPress blog. This will be used throughout my studies to post my lesson tasks and to share my creative thoughts and ideas.

How did I get here, and why did I choose to study Graphic Design at Noroff?

I’ve always been a creative soul and have had a passion for art for as long as I can remember; from sketching, to painting, to photography and even virtual photography. I have always been encouraged by those around me to pursue a career in art, but I could never make my mind up on picking a path. I hadn’t found my true calling yet. My newly found hobby in virtual photography brought me here. I started off taking in-game shots just for fun, but after a while discovered that there’s an online community for such a thing. I made an Instagram account and began sharing my shots and becoming more and more involved within the VP community. After being influenced by other’s work, I started editing my shots using basic photo editing mobile apps. I had no idea what I was doing, but I was having fun. The more I edited, the easier it became. The easier it became, the more fun I started to have. I thought to myself; if I could do such things with mobile apps, imagine what I could do professionally. This is why I chose to study graphic design. I want to learn. I want to create. And someday I hope to be able to make a career out of it. This is the path I have finally chosen. This is my future!

Moodle

Moodle Illustration

Moodle is my campus, and for one of the four tasks during the first week was to draw an illustration of how I see Moodle. This is my “Moodle Map”. As you may notice, something doesn’t look quite right; some of the texts are upside-down. Well, this is how I first saw Moodle. Confusing. Some things were clear, and others not so much. After spending a week navigating the campus site and drawing up my map, I have gained a better view on how things work and where to find all relevant information.
